  9. USE AND INSTALLATION

  11. For instructions on how to install and run the interactive presentation on 
  12. this CD ROM, please consult the booklet provided with this disc.

  14. This CD ROM is designed to run on MPC and Apple Macintosh computers which
  15. have at least 4 megabytes of memory and a CD ROM drive. It will work with
  16. a 640x480 pixels 256 colour display. For better QuickTime quality it is
  17. advisable to switch to thousands of colours if your computer supports it.

  19. the booklet provided with this disc.

  24. Anglia Multimedia's online service provides extra learning materials linked
  25. to its discs. This is available on the World Wide Web at 
  26. http://www.anglia.co.uk. A more comprehensive learning service is provided
  27. by Education Anglia, to be found on AOL UK (America Online). Log on to your
  28. AOL site and use the keyword facility and the word ANGLIA for quick access.

  35. THIS MULTIMEDIA CD-ROM.  BY INSTALLING THIS CD-ROM YOU SHALL BE DEEMED TO 
  36. HAVE ACCEPTED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

  40. 1. ANGLIA MULTIMEDIA LIMITED ("Anglia") grants you, the licensee, a 
  41. non-exclusive licence to use the CD-ROM multimedia work (the "CD-ROM") for
  42. use on a single computer.  It is not licensed for copying except as 
  43. specified in Clause 2.  It is not licensed for use across a network.  It is 
  44. not licensed for use in an educational establishment.  For costs of 
  45. additional licensing, contact Anglia Multimedia, Anglia House, Norwich,

  48. 2.  You may make copies of text and picture resources from the CD-ROM for 
  49. your own home use only provided that such copies shall not be made available
  50. to any other persons.

  52. 3.  Except as provided in Clause 2, you may not record, store or otherwise 
  53. transfer any of the CD-ROM in whole or in part to or onto any other storage 
  54. device, disk or network of whatever kind without having the necessary 
  55. licence.  You may not make copies of the QuickTime video or audio clips or 
  56. run them from any disk except the "Mission : The Roman Challenge" 
  57. CD-ROM.

  59. WARRANTY
  60.  
  61. 4.  Subject to any other provisions in this Agreement, Anglia warrants to you
  62. the original licensee, that the disc on which the multimedia work is recorded
  63. will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a 
  64. period of ninety (90) days from purchase, and that the CD-ROM will perform 
  65. substantially in accordance with the user guide for a period of ninety (90) 
  66. days from purchase.  Anglia's sole responsibility and liability under this 
  67. warranty will be, at its option, (i) to use reasonable endeavours to correct
  68. any defects that are reported to it within the foregoing warranty periods; 
  69. or (ii) to replace the CD-ROM.  Anglia does not warrant that the CD-ROM will 
  70. be error-free, nor that all the program errors will be corrected.

  72. 5.  Anglia makes no warranties, express or implied, including without 
  73. limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality 
  74. and fitness for a particular purpose regarding the CD-ROM.  Anglia does not 
  75. warrant, guarantee, or make any representations regarding the use or the 
  76. results of the use of the CD-ROM in terms of its correctness, accuracy, 
  77. reliability, currentness or otherwise.  The entire risk as to the results and
  78. performance of the CD-ROM is assumed by you.

  80. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  82. 6.  Anglia's sole liability arising out of or in connection with the CD-ROM 
  83. shall not exceed the purchase price of the CD-ROM. IN NO EVENT SHALL ANGLIA, 
  84. ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, 
  85. INCIDENTAL, TORTIOUS OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING ANY DAMAGES 
  86. RESULTING FROM LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFIT OR LOSS OF BUSINESS)
  87. ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CD-ROM EVEN IF 
  88. ANGLIA HAS BEEN ADVISED ON THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  92. 7.  Anglia owns and will retain all title, copyright, trademark and other 
  93. proprietary rights in and to the CD-ROM.  You obtain only those rights 
  94. provided in this Agreement.

  140. For details of the use of the save status and resume feature, please
  141. consult the booklet provided with this disc. Please note that this
  142. feature is not available on Apple Macintosh for this release of the 
  143. disc.

  145. By default the program saves a file named RESUME.KAS within the
  146. directory C:\ATV\ROMANS\SCRIPTS\STATUS\RESUME.KAS (assuming that drive C
  147. is your system hard disc). This file is automatically reloaded if the 
  148. user chooses to 'Resume from Previous Session' when re-running the disc.
